The Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC) has entered into memorandums of understanding with two local universities and a US health institute to promote and strengthen community health programs.

During the International Society for Physical Activity and Health (ISPAH) Congress, ADPHC signed agreements with the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Abu Dhabi University and the National Wellness Institute in the United States.

The five-year partnership with UAEU aims to promote cooperation between both parties and identify mutual interest in the fields of education, learning and scientific research. It identifies and coordinates areas of collaboration in public health research, education and training to effectively strengthen ADPHC’s position as a public health research institution in the region.

A three-year agreement with the National Wellness Institute supports ADPHC’s research projects throughout the region. It helps education by cooperating in various activities related to capacity building, training and professional development in the field of public health. Another focus area is to combine expertise in organizing public health conferences in Abu Dhabi.

ADPHC is partnering with Abu Dhabi University to raise awareness of public health services and improve university students’ knowledge and skills related to their field of study through a training program facilitated by ADPHC. It aims to empower students and enhance their skills and knowledge of various public health programs and initiatives. It encourages members of local communities to be active and follow healthy lifestyles.

ADPHC Director General Matar Saeed Rashed Al Nuaimi said the center aims to strengthen public health programs and strengthen the emirate’s healthcare infrastructure.

“These agreements are another step forward in the center’s mission to position ADPHC as a leader in public health and research, where we can apply our expertise and knowledge to regular practice while working to advance the protection and promotion of public health in all communities.”
