How to download pan card on your phone | Job Binary


Every Indian citizen above the age of 18 has a PAN card and a physical copy of it. However, sometimes you may forget your PAN card at home but you need to retrieve it for some work. It is important to note that your PAN card is issued by NSDL or UTIITSL (both come under Income Tax Department of India). You can check on the back of your PAN card, which department has issued your PAN card and depending on that you can follow the steps below. How to Download PAN Card (NSDL)

Step 1: Open official government website for PAN card by clicking here.

Step 2: Now, you will see two options – Acknowledgment Number and PAN. Tap on PAN.

Step 3: Enter your 10-digit PAN number, followed by your 12-digit Aadhaar number.

Step 4: Next you need to enter the month and year of birth, and then fill the captcha.

Step 5: After you have filled all the details, tap on submit.

Step 6: Now you need to generate OTP. You can select where you want the OTP in Email or Mobile and hit Generate OTP.

Step 7: Enter the OTP and click Validate.

Step 8: You should now see your e-PAN on the screen in either PDF or XML formats.

Step 9: Click on any of the formats and it will download and stay on your phone.

If your PAN card is old, you can pay Rs. 8.26 to download it.

How to Download PAN Card (UTIITSL)

Step 1: Open official government website for PAN card by clicking here.

Step 2: Enter the 10-digit PAN number followed by month and year of birth in MM/YYYY format.

Step 3: Enter captcha and submit.

Step 4: Select the mode of OTP you will receive – Email or Mobile to proceed.

Step 5: Tap on Get OTP.

Step 6: Enter the OTP and tap Submit.

Now your PAN Card will be downloaded automatically. If your PAN card is old, you can pay Rs. 8.26 to download it.

What is my e-PAN card password?

To open the e-PAN card (PDF), you need to enter the password. The password is your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format, for example, 17/01/1989.

Important points to keep in mind

  • Note that if something is not updated on your PAN card for a long time, you will not be able to download the PDF copy. To download it, you must first update your latest information like signature or photo and then try to download the PDF copy again.
