How to play your PC games on your mobile device | Job Binary


PC gaming has long been a staple of powerful performance; Easily updated components and constant improvements in technology, many gamers prefer PC gaming over console gaming. In this respect, gaming on portable or handheld devices has struggled to reach the same level of performance. While progress has been made with the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck, they still don’t perform at the same level.


What if there was a way to harness the power of your PC and stream PC games directly to your mobile device? Fortunately, there is, and setting it up is easier than you might think…


Download NVIDIA GeForce Experience

The first thing you need is NVIDIA GeForce Experience on your computer. Most PCs or laptops equipped with an NVIDIA graphics card will have NVIDIA GeForce Experience software pre-installed upon purchase. If you have installed a graphics card yourself, or if the software is not pre-installed, you will need to download GeForce Experience from the NVIDIA website.

Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions to set up the software. Your screen may flash on and off during the installation process as it detects and configures your graphics card.

Set up NVIDIA GeForce Experience

After installing and launching the software, go to settings by selecting it Wheel at the top right of the window. First, you need to make sure that your device is capable of playing your games through NVIDIA Shield Characteristics panel on the right side and look under Ready status Gamestream the header

The Gamestream system requirements are also available on NVIDIA’s website, so you can check if you haven’t bought or built your PC yet.

After verifying that your device can play games through Shield, navigate to it the shield tab on the left side. On the new screen, enable Gamestream using the switch at the top of the box. Your device is ready to play any game connected to NVIDIA GeForce Experience.

Back to your Start in the top left to see a list of games connected to NVIDIA GeForce Experience. If there are no games here or the game you want to play is missing from your mobile device, go back to settings Wheel and select Games and applications. Add the necessary folders containing your game’s executables Scan location options (if you have games installed in non-default locations) and press Scan now button to find your games.

NVIDIA’s GeForce Experience supports a wide range of games, but it may not recognize all the games you want to play. Download Moonlight on your mobile device

Next, you will need to download Moonlight to your mobile device. Moonlight is a free, open source application that allows multiple devices to become clients capable of connecting to NVIDIA Game Stream. Tick Customer downloads drop down, select the mobile device you are using and configure the application. Moonlight supports Android and iOS, as well as many other platforms.

Sync Moonlight with NVIDIA GeForce Experience

To ensure correct first-time setup of the application, make sure your mobile device is connected to the same internet network as your computer.

Open Moonlight on your mobile device and wait for your device to appear in the host list. If it doesn’t appear after a few seconds, you can add the host manually by IP address. After adding the host device, click the entry to pair the devices. Your mobile device will connect to the host and provide a PIN that must be entered in the SHIELD pop-up window on your computer.

Once you enter this PIN, your mobile device will provide you with a list of all NVIDIA GeForce Experience-related games (or manually added ones as above) to stream directly to your mobile device.

Set up internet playback (optional)

Moonlight is now configured to allow you to stream games from your computer to your mobile device as long as it is connected to the same internet network. To be able to use your computer on any Internet connection, you will need to download an additional Internet Hosting Tool to your computer.

Once installed, run it Moonlight Internet Streaming Tester to ensure that the application is installed correctly. If everything works as expected, your device is now set up to broadcast over the Internet. It allows you to play PC games on your mobile device.
