IFED 2022 concludes the three-day event in Abu Dhabi | Job Binary

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The 12th World Congress organized by the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry (IFED) concluded in Abu Dhabi over the weekend and saw nearly 2,500 visitors and participants engage in meaningful dialogue and business interaction. the luxurious Conrad Etihad Towers. The event was organized by INDEX Holding member INDEX Conference and Exhibitions Organization Est. and the Arabian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.

The conference and exhibition lasted three days and featured 17 world-renowned expert visitors in the field of aesthetic dentistry and more than 65 international brands from 18 participating countries. About 53% of visitors were from the region, while the remaining 47% were international audiences. IFED 2022 also featured four workshops that included hands-on training to gain experience in guided surgery in implant dentistry using printed positioning guides.

HE Amb. Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, General Director of the 12th World Congress of Aesthetic Dentistry and Chairman of INDEX Holding, stated: “Bringing aesthetic dentistry experts together in Abu Dhabi from around the world to share their expertise and scientific knowledge that they have developed over years of research and practice was incredible in itself .Dentists play an important role in our lives and help us feel confident in our smile, so it was important that we organized a unique meeting of the best professionals in the field to offer their expertise in our area.

HE continued: “We strive to provide the best healthcare practices in the UAE by investing in continuous training and development. This conference and exhibition, along with free workshops from industry leaders, truly prove that the possibilities are endless when we collaborate with each other.

IFED holds this world scientific meeting every two years in a different city, hosted by a member academy and attended by thousands of dentists and delegates from around the world. This year’s meeting, IFED 2022, will be hosted by Abu Dhabi in association with the Arabian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, marking the first time the congress will be held in the MENA region.

Professor Jaime Gil, President of IFED stated: “It is my duty as President of IFED to express my gratitude to the Arabian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and Dr. Esam Tashkand for organizing this wonderful congress in the superior city of Abu Dhabi. I must also express our gratitude to HE Amb. Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani and the entire INDEX Holding organization, as we have worked with them for over two years and they have proven to be experts in organizing incredible events.

The last day of the conference covered many groundbreaking topics, including Digital Workflow for Full-Arch Implant Dentistry 2.0, as delivered by prof. Wael Att, current president of the Arabian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry; Strategies for Success with Dental Implants in the Aesthetic Zone, edited by Dr. Franck Bonnet, President of the European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry; Flap or no flap elevation in the immediate post-removal implant, edited by prof. Giovanni Zucchelli, member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry; Restoring the implant disaster. Full Mouth Restoration When Everything Went Wrong, edited by Dr. Luca Cordaro, Member of the Italian Osseointegration Society and Member of the International Group of Implantology (ITI); and Avoiding technical complications with appropriate treatment planning, edited by prof. Bjarni Pétursson, ITI fellow and member of the Editorial Board of Clinical Oral Implants Research, European Journal for Oral Implantology.

Dr. Esam Tashkandi, IFED 2022 Conference Chair, stated: “It was a pleasure to finally gather everyone in Abu Dhabi, a city we aim to make the capital of esthetic dentistry. The IFED 2022 conference program featured some of the world’s leading expert speakers who presented a variety of topics on aesthetic dentistry, and attendees received MOH accreditation for 17 CPD study hours, ADA certification for 14.5 Continuing Education credits and 16 ICHS CME credits. We thank everyone for the contribution that made this congress a great success, where we all learned and developed our profession.”

Dr. Wael Att, President of the Arabian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, gave a stimulating lecture highlighting how advanced technology helps improve standards in every clinic. Dr. Wael emphasized the importance of all aesthetic dentists staying up-to-date with the latest practices in digital technology to ensure they are providing the best performance for patient comfort.

Dr. Wael stated: “There are millions of people who are losing teeth and need treatment, and we need workflows like digital technology to make things easier, faster, less headache- and time-consuming for patients. Better service for them.

He continued; “IFED is an important organization for our industry, and the 12th World Congress of the Esthetic Industry was full of excellent scientific information that helps us all stay up to date with relevant information. We couldn’t be happier to gather here in such a wonderful city as Abu Dhabi, as this meeting provided such a great experience for all of us.”

The conference also covered many topics during its three-day run in Aesthetic Dentistry, Oral Implantology, Prosthodontics, CAD/CAM, Digital Dentistry, Orthodontics and Periodontology, including special lectures on Advances in Digital Dentistry; Demystifying Occlusion in Esthetic Dentistry; Face-centered, multidisciplinary digital therapy; Advantages of digital workflows for smile design and rehabilitation; and so much more.

Founded by the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the Japanese Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, IFED now has a significant number of participating countries that were present at this year’s meeting, including the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Iceland, China, France, Portugal, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, Denmark and Italy.
