Dressed in a lime green dress, Dani-Lynn flashed a smile to a room full of contestants, judges and pageant queens. A bright crown sits atop her head, and a belt proclaims her birth “Little Miss World” is placed on his right shoulder.

At only 7 years old, Dani-Lynn is a national champion.

“He is very happy when he and I play sports together,” he said Amelia is early, Dani-Lynn’s mother. “Dani-Lynn and I both compete Miss Universal Global Pageant, and we both won the national title. We are both going international next year! “

Dani-Lynn wore a lime green dress and a sash that said, "Tiny Miss Universe."

Dani-Lynn, whose nickname is ‘Nugget,’ became the Universal Global Tiny Miss USA this summer. She competes in interview, day wear and evening gown competitions. She also won the presentation for the best daytime outfit.

The achievement is even more impressive when you consider Dani-Lynn’s journey UF Health.

Earlier this year, Dani-Lynn underwent intensive cardiothoracic surgery, a procedure that checks how well the heart is working.

Dani-Lynn has three related heart defects: hypoplastic left heart disease, a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart; ventricular septal defect, a hole in the wall that separates the two small chambers of the heart; and partial anomalous pulmonary venous return, a condition where one or both of the arteries return blood to the right atrium instead of the left.

“You see them [UF Health pediatric] Group heart every six months. Your heart team is keeping a close eye on your heart,” Amelia said. “He’s a rock star in recovery [from the heart cath].”

Dani-Lynn has had multiple surgeries, including two open heart procedures UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital before his third birthday. Today, he remains steadfast with his treatment; however, it is not suitable for the Fontan procedure, a surgery that increases blood flow to the lungs without passing through the ventricle, or heart transplant.

“[Although] We are just stuck in drinking limbo, there are not enough thank-yous that I can give him to take care of. They never gave up,” Amelia said. “They treated him like he was their own child.”

Dani-Lynn is very active in her community. She, her sisters and Amelia often participate in community service activities in the Jacksonville area. Plus, the Early family is involved dance marathon. You can always see Dani-Lynn dancing at the main events throughout the spring.

And, of course, your contribution is in the pages. Dani-Lynn most enjoys getting her hair done and done before competitions.

Before going on stage, Dani-Lynn and Amelia prayed together. This season shows the demand for energy and time that Amelia realizes everything that she and her family are grateful for, including Dani-Lynn.

“We are so blessed God gave us the best care team for Dani-Lynn,” Amelia said.
