The second ever Miss Universe Bahrain has officially been crowned.

The crown has been passed from Miss Universe Bahrain 2021 Manar Jess Deyani to this year’s recipient, Evlin Abdullah-Khalifa.

The 24-year-old was awarded the title in the final episode aired on Sunday after the first Miss Universe Bahrain 2022 beauty pageant started the week before on September 7, 2022.

During the final Q&A segment, we asked the model, “When do you think a woman is powerful?”

To which he replied, “I think a woman is strong when she knows herself, when she knows her needs and when she knows what she can do. A strong woman is an example of people and whose actions lead to success. And I’m here to be that woman to lead people to success and believe in themselves.”

With over 300 applicants, it was selected by a panel of talented judges including the likes of Egyptian actress Mai Omar, content creator Faryal Makhdoom, Black Eyed Peas star Jrey Soul and others.

Apart from modeling, Khalifa has other interests such as dancing, taekwondo and is also a trained pianist. With a background in finance and banking, he has also been seen in make-up advertising for Dior.

Bahrain’s second Miss Universe winner will go on to represent the country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant, where the final winner will likely be crowned in 2023.
