Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst passes away, Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu mourns the loss | Job Binary

Cheslie Kryst, the 2019 winner of the Miss USA pageant, has died. He is 30 years old.

According to the reports, Kryst died on Sunday (January 30) after jumping from a 60-story building at 350 W. 42nd Street in New York City around 7:15 am local time.

“With great devastation and sadness, we share the return of our beloved Cheslie,” Kryst’s family said Sunday in a statement. “Her greatest light is one that inspires others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cares, she loves, she laughs and she shines.”

“Cheslie showed love and service to others, whether through her work as a lawyer fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on EXTRA,” her family said. “But most importantly as a daughter, sister, friend , mentor and collaborator – we know his influence will live on.”

Hours before her death, Kryst shared a picture of herself with a caption, “May this day bring you rest and peace.”

Kryst, a lawyer, was crowned Miss USA as Miss North Carolina in June 2019.


Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu also expressed his grief over Kryst’s death. Taking to his Instagram account, Sandhu shared the best picture of them and wrote, “This is sad and unbelievable, you have always been an inspiration to many. Rest In Peace Cheslie.”
