About RPSC 2022:
Rajasthan Public Service Commission has invited applications for the post of Food Safety Officer, 2022. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at the official website – rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. Registration starts from November 1 and ends on November 30.
A total of 179 Non-TSP posts, three Saharia posts and 18 TSP posts are vacant.
Eligibility Required for RPSC 2022:
Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agricultural Science, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry or Graduation in Medicine from a recognized University.
Candidates must have successfully completed training as mentioned by the Food Authority in a recognized institute or institute approved for this purpose. The notification states that there is no need to undergo training before selection. Training will be given to the selected candidates during the examination period.
Candidates should have working knowledge of Hindi and Rajasthani culture.
How to Apply for Food Safety Officer RPSC 2022:
Step 1: Go to the official website – rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in
Step 2: Click on SSO Portal – sso.rajasthan.gov.in
Step 3: Register online at the recruitment portal in Citizen App
Step 4: Enter your details like name, address, date of birth, pan card number etc.
Step 5: After entering the details, cross check and submit
Step 6: Pay the fee, download the fee receipt and take a printout for future reference
The maximum marks for the exam will be 150 and negative marks will apply. It will last 2.5 hours in total and will have a total of 150 questions. Out of 150 questions 40 will be General Knowledge and 110 will be related topics.
Application fee is Rs.350 for Rajasthan General Category and Creamy Layer, Rs.250 for Backward Classes and EWS Category. The fee is Rs 150 for SC, ST and candidates whose family income is less than 2.5 lakh per annum. The fee for SC, ST candidates belonging to TSP areas is Rs 150.
The lower age limit is 18 years and the upper age limit is 42 years as on January 1, 2023. Male candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, Most Backward Classes and EWS of Rajasthan have an age relaxation of 5 years.
Female candidates belonging to general category also get age relaxation of 5 years and female candidates belonging to above mentioned categories get age relaxation of 10 years. There is no upper age limit for widow or divorced women.
