The Overwatch 2 launch was derailed by a massive DDoS attack | Job Binary


Tuesday’s launch of Overwatch 2 has been, so far, one launch and more lines: thousands of players, including some at PC Gamer, have been stuck in long queues to log in. (Opens in a new tab), to have a connection error after entering the menu. Blizzard President Mike Ybarra he tweeted (Opens in a new tab) this afternoon that’s not the result of too many players trying to log in—Overwatch 2 is currently experiencing a DDoS attack.

“Unfortunately we are experiencing a massive DDoS attack on our servers,” Ybarra wrote. “Teams are working hard to mitigate/manage this. This is causing a lot of crashes/connection issues.”
